Randy Orzano's show

IMG_1136
The installation included an entire floor of a factory covered in honey-jars, each one with a handmade label.

Randy hung his paintings of bees, and of his two young sons (for some reason I didn't get any shots of them - too preoccupied with the honey jars!) in the hives, where the bees chewed the paper, and deposited wax and propolis in various patterns.

An afternoon at Ellsworth Farm

IMG_0952
The entrance to Ellworth Farm on Cornwall Bridge Road. We got one of everything!

For people who are going to get a LOT of apples.

IMG_0918
It was surprisingly hot today - we overdressed.

IMG_0931
The colors of the leaves are spectacular right now.

IMG_0904
Apparently it wasn't a great apple season - fewer, and smaller, and scabbier, than usual. The proprietor told us that was due to a very rainy spring - they couldn't spray.

IMG_0906
But there were still plenty of apples...

IMG_0902
And they taste great!

It's one of the prettiest spots in Sharon.

We got raspberries too - expensive but delicious. Also blueberries but I was too busy picking and eating to photograph them.

Some pretty scenes ...

...from around town:

I guess the monarchs have gone, but the milkweed is still around. (That's my car in the background.)

Sometimes I can't decide which shot I like best of a scene!

So I put both.

Another version of the misty hillside (like this.)
